Welcom to my website.  I am Chris Van Atta Photography, Asheville’s  newest wedding photographer. Although not new to wedding photography i have cut my teeth and style as a professional-surf photographer. Attending Crealde school of arts in Orlando florida and then soon to follow a student of commercial photography program. Those were my early days. I then later moved to Wilmington NC and became senior photographer for a national surf and skate magazine that graced to magazins racks at many local bookstores. I have 9 covers of various magazines from surf to wedding.  Enjoying my craft and working with major swimsuit lables like Tarra Grinna, KGB Swimwear,Roxy,Billabong,Matix,Love Surf Love, Blue Glue and L-space, I have truly come to enoy my passion and lifestyle as a full time professional photographer.  I have been mentored by some of the worlds top 10 wedding photographers while i had a journey to the west coast of california. I now bring that style that sells a feeling that life is good. I am great and seeking locations with natural lighting and great backdrops that would normally go undiscovered at a wedding venue that has been worked time and time again. It a sixth sense you can say. I am alive and know that i was destined to share my look, charm, and atmosphere with select clients. Although I am not a new to wedding photography,you can find me traveling the globe to work with some of the most amazing clients having their wedding day celebration at destinations that truly are remarkable. I simply enjoy what i do. I love people and long to share my talent with brides and grooms seeking something different from their photographer. Many have acclaimed my style as natural and organic with a fresh twist that the spirited and offbeat brides have come to love!
